ON THE ROAD TO RIO 2016
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Official Selection Trials for the 2016 Rio Olympic / Paralympic Games and/or the 2016 TrackTown Classic.
We know, that without you, these events cannot be completed and by your involvement, you allow for athletes to compete at a level far higher than they have ever been able to achieve. Track and Field is a fast evolving global sport we know that you will make this year’s competitions a standing example of what events are supposed to look like. We cannot achieve that goal without the hard work of our dedicated volunteers. In fact, more than 300 enthusiastic, reliable and friendly volunteers will be required from July 6 - 16, 2016 to be part of our team to help deliver our spectacular events and programming.
Being a volunteer at the Rio 2016 Selection Trials (Canada's selection trials for 2016 Olympic & Paralympic Games) and/or Edmonton's TrackTown Classic will be rewarding and motivating and give you an opportunity to showcase your skills, learn new skills, meet new people and be part of the action!

The best of Canada will descend on Edmonton from July 7-10 as they compete for the prestigious honour of being crowned Canadian champion as well as a place on the Canadian National Team for the Olympic & Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
On July 15, Canada’s best athletes will compete against the competition from around the world at the TrackTown Classic. This world-class competition that will be billed as an "Olympic Preview" as this event will be the last major international competition in the Western Hemisphere prior to the 2016 Olympic Games.
